PLAXPOT PLASMA FIBROBLAST FAQ

Below is a list of Plaxpot Plasma Fibroblast frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions, please contact the salon on 0401 846 509.

What areas of the body can be treated?

Plasma fibroblast can be performed on many areas of the body. Most commonly, we can treat the face (upper eyelids, lower lids, nasolabial, jowls, neck, crows feet etc). We can also treat the stomach and areas where stretch marks are present.

Is plasma fibroblast painful?

There is some discomfort associated with this treatment however a numbing agent can be applied to the area. This will be discussed with your therapist during your consultation.

How does Plaxpot Plasma Fibroblast work?

The plasma pen does not touch the skin, instead it works just above the skins surface.  Electrical energy is converted into electrostatic energy, creating a plasma arc between the skin and the tip of the pen resulting in an immediate contraction of the skin tissue due to a small spot of vaporization where the Plasma arc touches.  This creates a tiny dot and with several of them together they create a contraction in the skin, stimulating the production of collagen in the skin.

Post treatment the epidermis starts to turn your skins surface into tiny carbon crusts which fall off within a few days.  Underneath your beautiful and rejuvenated skin will come to the surface.

Do I need a consultation prior to this treatment?

Yes. You are required to have a skin consultation prior to having a Plaxpot Plasma treatment so that we can ensure your skin is suitable for this treatment and that your skin is in the best possible condition to ensure the best outcome.

How many treatments will I need?

Every client is different and your individual needs will be discussed during your consultation. The number of treatments required ranged from 1 - 3, spaced 90 days apart (to allow for healing and collagen formation).

How will my skin feel / look post treatment?

Post treatment, you will have small carbon crust dots on the area treated. Mild swelling is also normal, immediately post treatment and for 48 - 72 hours after.
